About the CAT Fellowship

The „Community Action Training – Fellowship Programme“ is a complementary measure to the CAT training programme. It aims to strengthen the capacity of young leaders and activists from the Eastern Partnership region (Azerbaijan and Georgia) in advocacy and campaigning for social transformation. The CAT Fellowship is accessible to alumni from the CAT Training.

The CAT Fellowship aims at enhancing the skills and competenes of young leaders and activists from Azerbaijan and from Georgia in advocacy and campaigning about positive social changes in their communities. At the same time, the project contributes to building linkages and cooperation amoung youth leaders, young activists, youth organisations and beyond this, civil society actors.

The CAT Fellowship includes:

Preparation workshops for selected CAT Fellows in Baku and in Tbilisi (1 day)

Job-Shadowing of 12 Fellows to partner organisations in Spain or in Latvia scheduled in 3 flows in SS19, AW19 and SS20 to explore specific topics related to advocacy and campaigning (14 days incl. travel)

Strategic workshops in Tbilisi for fellows to plan their advocacy and campaigning initiatives (5 day incl. travel)

Advocacy and campaigning initiatives of the fellows in Azerbaijan and Georgia focusing on civic, social, gender, environmental or any other relevant challenges for at least 6 months (mini-grant)

Mentoring programme to support the CAT-Fellows during their initiatives (local and webinars)

Publication of fellows articles on the CAT e-journal on activism

Invitation to attend the international conference in Tbilisi on youth activism gathering the CAT fellows, civil society representatives, youth organisations and activists from all partner countries

Fellows evaluation seminar in Tbilisi to assess impact and learning
